Despite facing adversity, our boys placed higher than they ever have before (4th place) and our girls placed 9th. Adversity on the boys side we had one relay DQ and one of our star swimmers, Sam Carlson, had a back injury that hampered his performances. On the girls side we had 2 relay disqualifications. Quoting Coach Kit Barker, “It’s funny, in the 5 years I has coached I never had a relay DQ at state and this year we had 3. But we pulled through and had some standout performances. These kids are tough and that showed tonight!”
